Emma Collison. If her name were to be a noun in the dictionary, next to her picture would be the definition "The origin of every small town's troubles," along with synonyms such as "monster", "blood sucker", "surveyor of the Food Network", and of course, "vampire". For years, the poor thing's been tearing apart cities in a desperate attempt to escape the one and only thing she fears most: Death. Hard to imagine that one burgundy-eyed girl could be the cause of so much chaos in such a short amount of time. Since a rather unpleasant trip to Venice, Italy, at least two new vampires have come into existence because of her, as well as several werewolves, and a pretty good sized stack of mutilated bodies.
Oh, but we can't blame everything on Emma, can we? Riddle me this: What do you get when you mix an innocent six year old with a werewolf in Transylvania? A vampire's mutant dog for a sister? Yes. Family discord? Yes. Battle of the species? Yes. Allow me to introduce Jadeus Eversen - Biological sister of Jacob Eversen, local 'Child of the Moon', drooling beast, and blond. Bitten by a werewolf at the young age of six, Jadeus has managed to keep her secret between her brother and herself since that star-crossed day all those years ago. But what happens when that brother turns against you, becoming the very polar opposite of yourself? Vampires and werewolves don't get along very well, I've heard, regardless of family ties.
And then there's the tracker, Demetri. No, he's not the member of the Volturi guard you may be thinking of. Sure, the two are from the same country, similar in stature, hair color, and abilities, but that's merely coincidental. Demetri (A) {our Demetri} has better things to do than sit around and protect three ol' decrepit nut-cakes {AKA Aro, Caius, and Marcus}. He's got places to go, people to hunt! It's not all about blood and power, you know. So when this tracker of ours fails to off an orphaned Emma, what other choice has he than to track her down and finish the job? But there's a problem... Damn, that girl can run!
After tracking Emma across the ocean to America, Demetri just can't seem to get ahead. Finally, she unknowingly leads him to Timberwood, Wyoming, her home town. How quaint! It seems Demetri'll be able to have his cake and eat it, too. Not only is Emma completely vulnerable and at a dead end, but absolutely no one would notice if every human in this little divot of the Teton mountains were to simply... Disappear. Just when he's about to do what's taken him quite long enough to accomplish, a relative of Emma's, Carson Burnette, swoops in to save the day. It would figure that the guy's a vampire! And then there's Jacob - that little nuisance, created by Emma for the sole and incredibly selfish purpose of protecting herself. Always drifting around her as though she were actually something to protect...
After a bit of a tussle with Jacob and Carson, a very disgruntled Demetri wanders up into the mountains to do some serious thinking. As luck would have it, Thayde, a werewolf in the same species as Jadeus, happens to be wandering around the outskirts of Timberwood doing some thinking himself: Unfortunately, it's fairly difficult to find another werewolf so much like yourself, let alone a female, anywhere in this crazy world. Much to Thayde's initial disbelief, and later, excitement, he comes across Jadeus. To him, she is quite literally one in a million. Yet once again, Jacob causes a problem: He won't let Thayde anywhere near his younger sister. And so, both murderous vampire and lovestruck werewolf have come to a common impasse; one hell of an annoyance of a vampire... Leave it to Demetri to take advantage of Thayde, the poor kid. To sum up Demetri's threat: "Jacob causes a problem for the both of us. Help me get rid of 'im or I'll kill you and your little girlfriend. Capiche?"
Ah, but there's more than just one catch here. Lilly Carter, a human at the local high school, seems to have caught the attention of a certain vampire friend of ours. Jacob's so overrun with old human emotions, he can barely think straight! He finds it difficult not to just kill her, but he manages... As Emma put it, "You can't outrun Death, but you can put up a fight." And for Lilly, getting in too deep with Jacob and his family could mean having to do exactly that.

What happens when those fears turn out to be the only reason for your existence?

Character Creation (3 sub-boards) ~Hey! You without the character! Don't even think about trying to roleplay without one! That's right, I'm talking to you. In fact, don't even look at the roleplay boards unless you have an approved character. I'm sure your anxious to create one though, right? All you have to do is start a new thread. The character template is already set up for you~
Character Interactions (4 sub-boards) ~Say you want to keep your character's celebrity face from getting stolen. What are you going to do about it? Why post a claim in the claim board, of course! Or maybe you'd like to pre-set your character's friends and enemies. Well, just start a thread in the character interactions board! There's even one for writing help~
Plot (1 sub-board) ~Right, so I started this plot, see? Just as a starter story, ya' know, to kick things off. Unfortunately, it's not very good and poorly written (for me). So unless your curiousity's truely getting the best of you, refrain from reading this specific plot. On the other hand, the sub-board (Threaded Plot), is fairly decent. So if you're going to read something, read those threads~
Old Threads (2 sub-boards) ~Once a RP thread is all washed up, it's sent here: The Old Threads' Home. I know, I know. Some of these threads aren't finished, but that's because if they weren't replied to in over two months, it's assumable they never will be again. And so, you find it here. Sitting with any others of the same fate. Also, if you find a thread in here you'd like to complete, just PM the admin and I'll take care of it for you~

School Grounds
Hallways (5 sub-boards) ~Hallways 100-500. One, two, and three hundred are on the first floor, four and five hundred are on the second. Contains: Abandoned and regular class and office room enterances, bathrooms, and the occasional water fountain with gum stuck in the drain~
Gym (1 sub-board) ~It may not be the most high-tech school gym in the state, but it's got your basics. [Outdated] weight sets, [several deflated] sports balls, a few volleyball nets, a [recently buffed and waxed] hard-wood floor, basketball hoops, and even a pull-up bar! You couldn't ask for much better... Okay, so you probably could, but you know what? Either deal with it or go to the recreation center~
Cafeteria ~Surprisingly, for school food, Timberwood High School's cafeteria has pretty decent and edible meals. None of it's pre-made and the cooks know what they're doing so you can expect a full course lunch out of here~
Sports Field (1 sub-board) ~The Sports field suits the needs of any extracurricular activity of your typical high school. Football, soccer, lacrosse, cheerleading, you name a field sport, you can play it here~
Parking Lot ~For a high school, there's not very many spaces. But it's no big deal since there's hardly any kids and the freshmen usually ride the bus anyway. There's always a flashy car somewhere around here, though the owners are usually a certain pale family~
Town Hall (1 sub-board) ~Alright, so it's not the most popular place among teens... Or adults... Or animals. But the mayor needs some place to keep his pencils, right?~

Timberwood General Hospital ~When you break a limb or slash your lip, there's only one place to go! No, not your mom. The hospital! The doctors are well trained and can most certainly assist you with any medical emergency. And let's not forget the wheelchairs. You can't have a hospital without wheelchairs~

Streets and Alleyways ~Sometimes if you don't want to hang out at any major areas of the town, the middle of Timberwood's streets and dark alleyways is totally the place for you! Watch out, though. I heard there's a werewolf that drives like a maniac and her vampire brother that goes twenty over the speed limit. Also, you might want to watch out for any dark shadows that may cross your path~

Bowling Lanes ~Ah, the good ol' bowling alley. Nothing makes you remember the good times like dropping a ten pound plastic ball on your foot or sliding half way down a polished wooden floor getting dragged by said plastic ball. Even though it's just a dinky little bowling alley, it's a fun place to hang out~

The Mall (1 sub-board) ~When you get a small town like Timberwood, it's inevitable that you're going to get a small mall. There's not very many stores here, and the movie theater is attached at the North end, but at least the stores are nice. Luckily for you, the mall's owner {a certain very wealthy, very pale, and very intimidating young woman with goddess-like looks} managed to convince brands like Hollister, Hot Topic and Zumiez to set up shop here~
Sam's Shakes ~Back in 1954, good ol' Sam Woods, founder of Timberwood, built the most popular restaurant and hangout in this sleepy little town. Sam's son, Jeremy, has been making the food since 1988 when his father retired. It's said that Jeremy and his father make the best shakes and burgers in the entire state~

Westly Recreation Center ~One of the nicest facilities in the county. Recently upgraded, WRC now features brand new treadmills and other exercise equipment, an indoor and outdoor olympic sized swimming pool, full sized locker rooms, an NBA sized basketball court, and an amazing rock wall. Very popular among stay-at-home moms and fat people~

The Suburbs (3 sub-boards) ~Welcome to your near stereotypical suburban living area. The houses aren't lined up right next to eachother though, nor are they identical. These houses are top-quality log homes. Most are located in newly developed areas and are quite popular among newer families~

Outskirts
Collison Home ~This is where the so-called "vampires" of Timberwood live. The house sits out on the North side of Timberwood Lake. And though the property is fully accessible to anyone, no one works up the courage to get past the front gate but the family themselves...~
Timberwood Park ~Otherwise known as the forest, though it's much more civilized than that. A playground set and small ponds dot the first few hundred yards, though after that is complete wilderness. Watch out for any werewolves, they tend to haunt this area and threaten local wildlife. The "park" is also in front of the lake~
Timberwood Lake ~The small, rocky beach on Timberwood Lake is the perfect romantic gettaway during a full moon and clear night, but watch out for any beasties that might be lurking near the forest's edge or within the murky waters. The lake also rests just in front of the western mountains~
The Spotted Elk Lodge (1 sub-board) ~Opened in 1973 by the Collisons, the Spotted Elk Lodge has been putting every other hotel in Timberwood out of business. Although it seems it should cost a few hundred a night, it's actually the least expensive in the whole town. Located between the lake and Western Mountains, and with La Petite Forêt attached, the Spotted Elk Lodge guarantees the best stay you've ever had anywhere.~

Mountains (3 sub-boards) ~There are three differently facing mountains surrounding Timberwood: North, East, and West. The lake is just barely in front of the western mountains, and the park is nestled right up against it~
Day Trip'd ~Every once in a while, it's healthy to get out of the city, state or even the country. Timberwood can't supply all of you needs, you know. So if you're looking for that authentic Italian vacation (Beware of Volturi) or maybe a shopping trip to New York, this is the place to do it~

General
General (2 sub-boards) ~For all those times when you're tired from role-playing and all you want to do is just find a quiet place away from it all and post a thread about your favorite flavors of cheese, then the General board is the place for you! Feel free to talk about anything. And if you feel like spamming, there's even a sub-board for that!~

Advertising (3 sub-boards) ~In today's world, it seems like everyone and their dog has a website or forum anymore. (Seriously, I saw a website once dedicated just to someone's dog.) So if you're one of those people and you're looking for traffic, feel free to advertise in our guest friendly advertisement board!~
Affiliates ~Every now and then, simply advertising just doesn't get the job done right. So if you're looking to be a friend of Timberwood and bring in even more traffic, then apply to be an affiliate with us! It's guest friendly and easy as a Sunday morning~
